Welcome! May our hearts be sensitive to His Spirit, yielded to His promptings and overflow with praises to Him. May He give to each one according to their need. Our King is worthy to be worshipped. It has been written in The Power of Grace by B. Gothard, “One of the most exciting demonstrations of the power of God’s grace is in the area of our ability to give to the needs of others supernaturally.” Today we want to take a look at what the Scripture teaches about giving. Jesus taught and lived Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” In the same way, Mark 4:24-25 says, “…Take care what you listen to. By your standard of measure it shall be measured to you; and more shall be given you besides. For whoever has, to him shall more be given; and whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.” Words can’t describe the excitement, fulfillment and freedom (especially from worry and anxiety) when one lives a life of grace-empowered, spirit-led, supernatural giving. In the book The Giving Christian, Kirk Nowery states, “You cannot make a difference in this life unless you’re a giver. Takers—those who go through life claiming and keeping all they can—are, in the final analysis, just losers. Only givers are the truly successful, the truly effective.” “Once was
a man who spent His lifetime giving everything, He ever had away. The
more He gave, the less they understood how anyone could ever be that way…”
